7 Best Bollywood out of the box thrillers you need to watch right now.

 7.RUKH(2017)

Directed by new-comer director RUKH  is a 2017 Indian drama-thriller film. The film has a “different” type of plot relative to many Bollywood movies. Following his father’s untimely death, a young man reconnects with his extended family, uncovering some difficult truths. Attention staggering performances by everyone, path-less-traveled screenplay and a story that holds your guts till the last second.

Debutant Adarsh Gourav along with actors like Manoj Bajpayee and Kumud Mishra has hit the ball out of the park with Rukh. He speaks with his silence. Staying calm and composed without getting boring is an achievement, Adarsh wins it. Unfortunately, like most of the out of box movies in Bollywood, it was also an average grosser in India.

The movie is streaming on Netflix.

3.Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! (2015)

It’s my favourite movie on the list. Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! is a 2015  action mystery thriller film directed by Dibakar Banerjee and produced by Banerjee and Aditya Chopra. The story is based on the fictional detective Byomkesh Bakshi created by the Bengali writer Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay. The film stars Sushant Singh RajputAnand Tiwari and Swastika Mukherjee in principal roles. Shushant nails the movie as detective Byompkesh Bakshy. Assisted by Bhuvan’s son Ajit, Byomkesh links the case to a larger conspiracy that will unsettle Calcutta.

Not to give any spoilers but the movie has one of the best villains of Bollywood. Despite having tremendous reviews from critics the movie still remains one of the most underrated movies.

2.UGLY(2014)

The film stars Rahul BhatTejaswini KolhapureVineet Kumar SinghGirish KulkarniRonit RoySurveen Chawla and Anshika Shrivastava in the lead roles. the movie is directed by Anurag Kashyap.

Ugly follows the story of a struggling actor Rahul Varshney (Bhat), whose daughter Kali disappears, and the events that follow. 1. KAHAANI(2012)

we already knew which movie will be the first on the list, (There is no suspense on that )

Directed by Sunjoy Ghosh. It stars Vidya Balan as Vidya Bagchi, a pregnant woman -searching for her missing husband in Kolkata during the festival of Durga Puja, assisted by Satyoki “Rana” Sinha (Parambrata Chatterjee) and Khan (Nawazuddin Siddiqui). The movie is considered best mystery – thriller movie of Bollywood and best performance of Vidya Balan so far.

Kahaani explores themes of feminism and motherhood in male-dominated Indian society. The film also makes several allusions to Satyajit Ray‘s films such as Charulata (1964) and Aranyer Dinratri (1970).

The film won several awards, including three National Film Awards and five Filmfare Awards. The latterly included trophies for Best Director (Ghosh) and Best Actress (Vidya). A sequel, titled Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh, was released on 2 December 2016. The movie has one of the best cinematography by Setu. The music album was also up to the mark.

Why look Hollywood for thrillers movies when our Bollywood has best of them.
